Who I am
Many people think that animation depicts fairytales. However, this is not entirely true because behind the cartoons is where the real problems of society are hidden. With help of animation the author puts on show people’s actions in a more indirect and yet easy to understand way.
I am currently involved in freelance directing of short films, book illustrations and craft art.
In 2011 I graduated as a Master of Arts from National Academy of Theatre and Film Arts in Sofia City, with a degree “Animation Directing“.
In 2002 I graduated from School of Applied Arts in Sofia City, majoring in “Textile”.
I’m working with various techniques and genres, such as painting, graphics, stained glass technique and others. The saturated colours, inspired by Mother Nature and by my childhood memories and experiences are common characteristics for all these techniques.
My graduation film “Contemporary Tale” has participated in numerous international festivals and won main award in the Comedy category of “The Birdies Film Festival” UK in 2013.
